- Which we admitted we were powerless over POB
- that our lives had become unmanageable.
- Which we came to believe that a Gunroom
greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.
- Which we made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of the List Admins as we understood them.
- Which we made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves, because we don't trust those grass-combing buggers at the naval yard.
- Which we admitted to the Gunroom, to ourselves and to Rev. Martin the exact nature of our wrongs, and included web links.
- Which we were entirely ready to have the Gunroom remove all these defects of character, and strip all attachments from our e-mail.
- Which we humbly asked POB to remove our shortcomings, and Charlezzzzz quoted a poem about them.
- Which we made a list of all persons we had harmed, and became willing to send copies of Master and Commander to them all.
- Which we made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others. Then we did it offlist.
- Which we continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it.
- Which we sought through rereading the Canon to improve our conscious contact with Jack Aubrey*as we understood him, praying only for knowledge of his will for us and the power to carry that out.
- Which having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to non-POB readers and to practice these principles in all our affairs.
